About Olga
My goal is to help you feel balanced, grounded, and live with authenticity.
My approach is compassionate, nurturing and direct. I believe that effective therapy is based upon mutual and genuine curiosity in discovering how to meet life's challenges and difficulties. I welcome diversity in my practice, including all races, genders, sexualities, religions, body sizes and abilities. Some of life's challenges I often work with in my practice, include: ~ Stress ~ Relationships: family, partner, social, work, school ~ Life transitions ~ Anxiety ~ Depression ~ Substance misuse/abuse/addiction ~ Immigration ~ Cultural identity/multiculturalism ~ Grief and loss ~ Child-free women While I am available to provide therapy to individuals of all ages, I have a special interest in adolescent development and tend to connect with teens and young adults easily. Previous teen clients have described me as, "non-judgmental, friendly, trustworthy and down-to-earth." |
Additionally, I have extensive training and experience with supporting individuals struggling with eating disorders and other food related challenges, such as:
~ Overeating
~ Emotional eating
~ Using food to cope with difficulties
~ Restrictive eating
~ Overexercising
~ Body image
A personal and professional interest of mine is mindfulness and neuroscience. I am trained as a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction teacher and Mindfulness-Based Behavior Change facilitator and offer one-on-one and group mindfulness sessions.
